Lakers said that they will not be signing any deal with Wilson in the near future.
The case was filed against the free-agent forward Wilson by a woman. She alleged that she caught the sexually transmitted disease while dating him. The woman said that they had engaged in sex without any protection. Wilson knew that he had an STD, but he did not inform this information to her.
Steve McCaskill, the agent of Wilson, said that the forward was very upset over this allegation. He felt that this allegation has tarnished his image badly. This has damaged his NBA career. He said that Wilson is not going to stay idle. He has plans to seek legal remedies. He is going to make use of the full force of the law.
Wilson had a shooting percentage of 47 percent with the Clippers. He averaged 7 points per game. He was with the Clippers on a two-way contract.
